I lived in the United Arab Emirates for 12 years. Out of every 5 people, around 2 were some kind of Indian (roughly, and based on my 12 yo perception. A lot of them were part of the work force, doing labor, construction, clergymen duties etc). The rest are either paki, Afghani, levantine Arab, or natives. We lived in building apartments in moderately upper middle class regions

They smell absolutely RANCID. I am in no way racist or hate Indians (they were a third of the population lmao and I befriended some. Kind people, even though there are like a trillion races of indians so that's an overgeneralization), but every single apartment we had moved to neighbouring indians, it only took opening the apartment's door and walking two steps into the corridor in order for you to smell the delightful array of curry spices and
high methane and sulfur farts that reeked out of their doorsteps. God forbid you enter an elevator with them. I mean I shit you not, you could genuinely predict an apartment inhabitant's nationality from just the smell. It REEKED


The smell profile was really fucking bad. It smelled really deep, musky and pungent. I have no idea why, but all Hindu households smelled similar. Must be something they all had in their households
