Saw my classmate bring a jaw excerciser at school (the ones that target you're masseter). Even though he look fucking stupid chewing on some hard plastic, I still wonder if shit works.

They do actually, some of them can give you TMJ and hurt your jaw
 
Depending on the device / technique, you can make your masseters bigger, but whether this will look good or not depends on your masseter insertions and face shape.
 
Lose weight then you can see your jaw
