Muslims do understand the message. They literally learn the basics of the Arabic alphabet and how to pronounce them before reading the Quran. They might not speak it but theirs translations and the basic idea is still there. You have idea of nuance do you?

because it is the original language that was used.. thats why non-arabic islamic parents teach their kids to read arabic. actually the arabic in the qur'an is different from todays arabic so even arabs would not understand everything they read. and to add to @Shrek2OnDvD he is right, the qur'an is very different from both the torah and the bible since everything rhymes in the quran. that adds to the beauty of it all. ill give an example. translating it to other languages would take away the beauty of the rhyming of the words.
