I try to follow an ideology and way of life because i wholeheartedly believe it's better and will make me better than the rest. Doesn’t mean i disrespect other people, just that i want what's best for me and my community, and i assess Islam is the best way to reach so. I'm not going to wake up everyday for fajr prayer, pray 5 times a day, fast a month every year, etc, without believing there is an advantage to it whether it be physical or metaphysical
All that BS "We are all the same dude" is BS propaganda from the 20th century, no people ever in human history believed they were the same than the tribe neighbouring them, NONE, we are only the same in front of God, as in the sense that if i were to choose my mother or God to judge me on Judgement Day, i would choose God because of His Ultimate Justice and lack of oppression and injustice based on certain differences that we humans wouldn't be able to bypass. But we are not the same neither physically nor mentally nor in any sort of capacity, and whoever suggests so is dumb and blind, and there is DEFINETLY without the shadow of a doubt better, worse, stronger, weaker, etc
As Allah said (Interpretation of the meaning): 'O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may ˹get to˺ know one another. Surely the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you. Allah is truly All-Knowing, All-Aware.'
Islam, contrary to many other religions, allows everyone to convert to it by merely uttering some words on a sincere heart, therefore there is no discrimination in that sense in regards to race and so on, as long as there is sincerity of the heart.
If one follows any religion or ideology without believing that it makes him better than those who do not follow it, the point is absolutely defeated.
