do normal palate expanders work in adults? I'm 21 but no MSE in my country

Also u can tip on google MSR + ur country if you found a provider call them and ask which ortho use mse in argentina

Over 21. It was a part of my "treatment" for straightening teeth, so a few months at least. Since it didn't break the suture or create a diastema, the teeth tipped. Camouflage orthodontics, indeed.

on nearly all adults it does not open the suture. You might be able to expand your arch in the dentoalveolar area but thats exteremely rare personally I have found 1 adult female who got succesful suture seperation after normal palate expander
On top of that your teeth might become flared too from a normal expander...

Palatal expansion is impossible in adults without MSE. Tooth-born expanders don’t do anything.

The good news is that MSE isn’t super expensive

I would be seriously surprised if there is no MSE in your country. Have you looked to see if anyone offers it?

Self installing is risky but overall cheaper than an Doctor. A lot of research would need to be done before self installation.
