Red light therapy caused me volume loss in the midface region.

I’ve been researching it since this happened and my conclusion from all my research is that it indeed causes facial fat pad loss.

I strongly recommend you to avoid it and other gimmicks :feelswhy::feelswah:

If anyone knows of any ways to restore volume let me know. I know of fat transfers which work but not perfect (hopefully well enough :feelswhy:) and then there’s one cream called Adipeau which purports to regenerate fat cells (unproven though I’m trying it), and there’s volufiline which claims to increase volume (no claim as to how) the evidence for it is scant. And don’t even bother naming filler that shit migrates.

Fat loss is not reducing fat, it’s destroying fat cells. I see this misconception all the
dietary fat loss doesn't destroy fat cells

Yeah it just shrinks them. That’s my point. Red light therapy does have some evidence that it reduces the size of fat cells search it up. But I think my volume loss is due to destruction.

I should note that ultimately I have no idea exactly what the loss of volume is.

Fuck me ive turned on red lights for the past year to improve sleep and i read this :kys:

That’s sort of like saying added sugar is the same as honey
Yeah because honey is just fructose+Glucose+some tiny bit of enzymes. Its nearly identical and dangerous as added sugar

How about co2 laser? Bro?

never done it, i avoid lazers in general since they carry high risk of facial fat pad loss. Search online there are tons of anecdotes. besides lazers are quite lame as far as anti aging. Just do a chemical peel.

Tons of anecdotes online. Theres one study I'm aware of showing RLT causes fat cells to shrink. Other than this there is no study done on the topic.
seems like nocebo

I’ve had volume loss, confirmed by dermatologist. The only thing that’s questionable is if it’s due to rlt or some th ing else. Regardless there are tons of anecdotes which should give anyone pause. RLT isn’t worth the risk reward ratio

Let me know what happens
nothing, unfortunately whenever there is something that "burns" your fat as a side effect
Somehow it doesnt work when u apply it to areas that would bring u aesthetic benefits :feelswah::feelswah: Like "oh my god I used this and it screwed up my fat" then when u use it on ur cheeks it just doesnt work, diabolical thing tbh:feelswah::feelswah:
