I just quit accutane today, about a month before my "cumulative dosage". I'm quitting because of extreme hairloss. I'll try to outline the whole story of how this happened.

5 months ago, I consistently had 4-5 whiteheads. Essentially, I had very mild acne. Even though I didn't think the acne was bad, my mom convinced me to go to the dermatologist. The derm, who I will explain later why he is a crook, immidiatly put me on accutane! This fucker put me on accutane THE FIRST VISIT. If you didn't already know, this is unheard of. Especially if someone has mild acne.

He put me on 40mg the first month, than upped the dosage to 60mg the next three months. I actually asked him if hairloss was common on this drug which led him to say that hairloss is a myth. Anyways, 3 months during my course is when my hair began falling out in literal clumps. Upwards of 15 hairs will come out when I rub my hand through my hair.

This is still happening and I am losing close to 200 hairs a day. It's fuckinggg brutal. My hair has lost all volume. I'm hoping that my hair will return in 6 months or so, but I keep reading that it is permanent.

I'm planning on suing the derm next year for putting me on a high dosage even though I had mild acne. Hopefully I can moneymaxx a hair transplant after suing ngl.

hospitals and med organizations are (over) protected and have very good lawyers. That particular doctor is protected by the clinic so you'll be basically fighting 1 vs whole clinic. good luck bro :lul:.

What the fuck man, I remember we already talked about your shitty derm, but 60 mg/day?????? For mild acne????
Crazy shit, at that dosage of course you are experiencing hair loss... Any other symptoms?

No other symptoms other than dry skin. By the time I discovered that 60mg was absurdly high, it was already too late.

make sure you get all the receipts before you sue. get his diagnosis and dosage in writing

How long is your hair?

How long is your hair?
About 4 inches on the top and an inch on the sides. Growing out my hair is helping, it makes it looks a bit more dense

99.99% of accutane side effects are not permanent. I had mild acne and was on a way lower dosage than you, (20g/day) but I also experienced a little hairloss (also dry skin and nosebleeds). The hair came back within 2 months from when I stopped taking the drug.

It was really dumb of him to give you such a high dosage for mild acne, though. What a fucking idiot. I think it will still come back, though.
