exactly, normies might be wilfully ignorant about a lot of things but they're objectively useful. there's a reason billionaires and politicians push so much propaganda on them (from both sides) and try everything possible to keep them wageslaving (not hating on wageslaves, i'm one too)

It's even deeper than keeping them waging just for the sake of propping up material comfort for the elite tho.... Keeping them in a passive indifferent state means that when you drop a bomb on them their reaction is that much more intense. An authentic reaction is the most potent spectacle in this world. Columbine for example: A cut-copy suburban community lazily sleepwalks for decades until one event so subversive & out of the void happens, it mindbreaks them into pure stripped down shock. Those looks on their faces standing in the aftermath, the cctv footage from inside the building, broadcast all over the media. Every new generation becomes re-fixated on those images to this day. Ofc 9/11 is another one

It's the same thing with the whole adrenochrome concept: Scare someone so much it produces a heightened state that releases "special compounds" into their blood or whatever. The drama, the hyperreal authenticity is a climax the elites savor & find more meaningful than virtually anything else in this reality (and maybe you should too). So much it breaks through beyond this reality... The movie Martyrs kind of touched on this. The masses must be kept in a dulled state of mediocrity so you can catch them off guard.
