Do people actually get offended from racism and opposite political views?

I know that sounds crazy but genuinely if you get offended from that and then resort to violence or insulting the person back has to be one of the most low iq thing you could do. Especially political views but racism there could be a few exceptions and even then responding violently is also low iq.

Its the tolerance paradox, that they tollerate views unless its those that are intollerant and supress others and they react so strongly because most people that base themselves over politics also feel personally attacked if you have views different than theirs(then them using the tollerance paradox)
