Maybe. I never had access to street drugs but I do have alcohol frequently and also take benzos for sleep (which still aren't enough)

Yeah it's definitely more than ideal but at least I'm not someone who is completely dependent on alcohol. I can go indefinitely without it if I really want, but it's a good cops and I usually don't. My sleep is horrid even with benzos and I wake up 1-4 times during every sleep and often can't get back to sleep

Usually it takes a while to fall asleep and then after 4h or so I wake up and then need to do the work of falling asleep again, and it gets even more frustrating when there's more than one awakening per sleep duration. And these sleep issues were present long before I ever had any sleeping pills or alcohol to speak of, so these things are not to blame for it
