The number of times I've asked this question trying to cope with the fact that I am ridden with cranial distortions/asymmetry. If you have to even contemplate this, you need to get chirodontics/craniodontics/myofunctioncal therapy/splints/osteopathic therapy or maxillomandibular surgery as a last resort.

yes...it was brutal to me when I found out about this. the problem is that we look at our inverted self and make fixes accordingly. So in reality we still look like shit cuz we're accommodating for a reflection of what we really look like

the good news is that I just hold a mirror up to my mirror at an angle. Then I just look at the reflection of my reflection to really see what I look like

or if you're really lucky your medicine cabinet has a mirror perpendicular to your sink mirror which you can just look at diagonally to gauge what you really look like.
