imo if you needed a bitch to motivate you to make yourself successful as an adult you're fucked. Unless she's cooking, cleaning, satisfying you sexually, etc. and saving you time, they're no help at all

they boost you in the beginning but as time goes by you get comfortable, and after that the relationship will probably get worse and worse, so does ur motivation. In the end you'll be in a worse state than in the beginning

too complex to categorise it into black and white answers
it depends on the guy and girl. some guys might see an LTR as the end goal and become complacent after landing a relationship thus leading to them ending up shooting themselves in the foot irregardless of their gf (she can either accelerate this or slow it down, but if it's on the guy: it's inevitable)

while as on the contrary, a guy might land an LTR and u see the common cycle of a dude chasing X goals but his gf dragging slowing him down ultimately leading to him shitting his goals away.

I think it ultimately comes down to how much the guy values the ltr in his mind in comparison to his goals, and the girls level of attachment on whether she wants to support the dude or not (might also be affected by who was interested first)
