Now I'm 16 and I take retinoids because of my acne.Some people told me that retinoids decrease bone growth, it is true?What should i do?:forcedsmile:
I can't find anything about that on internet.:(

In short, yes. Isotretinoin (retinoids per oral route) does.

"Isotretinoin might cause growth impairment by inducing premature fusion of the growth plates"

my neigbours son also started taking isotretinoin at 15, but he's already 6'5 so he doesn't have to worry about it stunting growth. (The indication for the treatment is severe acne vulgaris)

But if you're on the shorter side and worried it will stunt your growth i'd be careful about taking it, since the science seems to suggest it does indeed close your growth plates.

Of course discuss any changes to your medication with your doctor.
