Do some phone cameras halo people vs make people look worse

Do people look better on the iphone 14 camera than irl for example? And do people look worse on something like a samsung or iphone 8 camera than irl?

Depends on distance and lighting. They process images differently to "enhance" them, they all have shortcomings, there's no definitive answer.
