I was wondering why I never hear anything about getting a "bimax", but getting like a BSSO first, healing for some months, then getting a LeFort I? Wouldn't that be safer?

Both of them are safe at the time.
Also even if it wasnt safe, 1 surgery is better than 2 because anasthesia is really bad for you and you should minimuze it as much as possible. Im also getting bimax this year:feelsokman:

Oh, I thought the benefit would be two SHORTER operating times instead of one longer one as far as anasthesia goes

Nah, a single operation is still better imo. Dont be afraid of bimax tbh, its pretty harmless and can ascend you like 0.5 psl depending on how recessed you are.

Thanks, my ortho actually suggested bimax, but I didn't want to and talked him down to maybe a BSSO (which I still don't think I'll do lol), and MSE and some kind of face mask. I don't think bimax would be a great idea for me based on how the rest of my face looks.
