Do thick eyebrows make you look unkempt?

I believe thick dark eyebrows are a very masculine trait. But when I had my eyebrows long family/friends said I look crazy and like an old man. I don’t know what to make of this. Trim them down and style them or grow them thick and style them.

Blond hair is light so it's better off very thick. I don't think so really.
