do traditional braces cause recession?

I will get braces in a few month's, and a lot of people's tell me that tradicional braces cause recession, and recommend me i get a Damon braces, but damon braces it's most expensive, so traditional braces really cause recession or it's just cope?

That's just an anecdote + if he used it for 3 years his face was already in terrible condition, the recession just became noticable.

They are better as they are faster, less painful, dont need frequent appointments, etc + they have increased face width by 1-4mm in case studies

Depends, Damon is just a brand that makes self ligating braces idk why ppl hype it so much it doses nothing based on reseccion.If you have a good ortho that shows you the plan you can ask them what they are doing to your face ask them if you have enough space in your mouth for your tounge ask them about your airway and send the ct pics here. If you snore or have a recession i would reccomend cheek biting before your treatment and saying that you have a hard time sleeping this should fraud expansion to some degree. Ask them if they are going to pull anything backwards and ask them why and suggest something that expands. Can you send a picture of your pallate ?

You ask for the ct image if its you wisdom teeth growing wrong extract them but if there fine and growing normal ask them if you could expand instead of removing them if they dont to expansion change your ortho

I'm 14y 11 moth, almost 15, i'm bucal breathing my hole life, but now i'm tryng to nasal breath, but when i sleep my mouth fall down and this is my profile and side profile

if ur teeth is really crowded,misaligned or uneven spacing ,thats where u get it but if u have extractions ,dont get braces,just have a fake one,atleast it wont recess your already recessed maxilla

Honestly depends. Some braces (slightly) expand your palate to make room for your teeth, which is a good thing. But sometimes it works the opposite way which isn't ideal. I would check with your dentist to hear their plan.

He is just recessed , brace only fix bite and slighty positioning , they dont develop the bones

Yea marpe or any expander that expands skelettal with a reverse pull headgear is ideal and get your bf down you faces looks bloated ash I would also reccomend a FaceFromer its like mouthtaping but without the risk if killing yourself if you dumb enough Its also myosfunctional therapy and changes your lip profile since there is an app with exercises that is free to download
