Its been 7 months now since me and my ex broke up and idk how to say it but it still haunts me.
I met her like a week or so after my 18th birthday right after moving out of my home into a city to study at uni and me and her fell extremely hard and quickly for each other and cus we lived in the same student dorm house we basically moved in together immediately and we were each others first bf/gf. Long story short we dated for one and a quarter year and then we broke up. Now its been 7 months and it still kinda fucks me.
I mean obviously the heartbreak gets easyer and im not particulary sad cus of it anymore but it left me very empty.

I still dream about her from time to time and still think about her regulary. I really dont know what to do cus i tried dating other girls but it just didnt feel the same.
and i really mean that. like a month ago i hooked up with a girl and after like 15min i kicked her out cus it didnt feel good. Its the same with all the other girls that talk to at like partys/bar evenings etc, nobody feels as exciting/interesting as she did when i first met her.

Like wth do i even do?

Yes, it does, and I say this as someone that has a similar situation to yours. I thought she was the most interesting, most cultured, most intelligent girl but the more time passes the more you realise she was aight and thats it.

The only thing that can fill that void is going to church from what I heard and what helped me too was simply getting into another serious relationship when I wanted to date again. Hookups will never fill that void, but having someone that treats you like your girlfriend after getting to know her mends it because all your body is craving is the oxytocin and having a bond like that. You can create new ones.

either you get her back or you move on there’s no in between. If you wanna move on then delete every memory of her and accept that she’s gone. We’re all gonna make it brah

yeah reading the bible helped me a lot to focus on sth new.
the thing with getting in a new relationship sounds valid too but for that ig ill need more time cus it woulnt be fair getting in a relationship with sb while still thinking of my ex.
and that with the hookups is very true too, it hurt more than it helped me.
ty bro

I fell you so bad man, i am going through the same shit right now. Sometimes I really need her but she isn’t there and I even dream of her. The thing is it’s over forever, that’s ts you got to accept it was a good time but there’s way more to come bro. Keep your head up. And trust me you are going to get over it just try to move on and let time do the rest
