me too, i always wanted a german or swiss shepherd, border collies are really great aswell.

unfortunately i don't think i'd have the money to support a dog living with me, i'm afraid i wouldn't take care of it well, especially since i don't take care of myself well.

Easy but u need 2 otherwise they get lonely, and a big enough cage, cos pet shop ones are too small

If you can’t do this, don’t get them and get a hamster instead

They can get ill and die quickly, and it’s usually impossible to know the cause of death

The one more visible in the tube died in 2019, don’t know why
The black one we adopted to replace the first one who died
His blonde friend had bladder stones in 2022, then died a few days after they were removed
We then adopted the black and white one and he died only a few months later, again vet didn’t know why
Then the black one seemed to be doing ok and I went back to uni, and he apparently stopped eating a couple of months later when my parents went away and sent him to a boarding place, and he was put down

3 within one year

So yeah guinea pigs are good but they often die without much notice and it’s sad
