they are still factored in as calorie expenditure in a cal in/cal out, not factoring them in will lead to innacurate caloric deficits
right, if you're cutting then sure. What if im lifting and muscles need repair? And Im trying to be equal with the TDEE?

count them, they are still potential calories that are being used, if anything, just raise your calorie maintenance by a tiny bit like only you only gain 10-25 grams of muscle a day as a beginner, so raise caloric maintenance by 50-100
