In my experience, unless they are teenage girls (14 to 18), they usually prefer guys who are taller than themselves and who have a muscular ripped physique. What I mean here, is that some teenage girls specifically want guys who are very tall and they don't care if he is muscular at that age, they just want a tall guy, but when they get older, then they care more about muscles than height alone but usually, they want both. But, women's preferences aren't absolute, they will pick the most attractive man available in the place they are in, if he wants them. But if they're all ugly, they will not be interested in the ugly guys of course.

In my country (Canada), the average woman is 5 foot 4, so in looks, the man that she wants has to be around 5 foot 8 at least and if she is hooking up with him, he has to have a muscular ripped physique (Hollywood style like Chris Hemsworth in Thor, not pro-bodybuilder like Arnold Schwarzenegger). In the past, I have been mogged many times by guys who were shorter than me just because they were more muscular than me, because I have always been skinny.

At the age of 18, I was 138 lbs.
At the age of 18, after a few months of training, I was at 160 lbs
At the age of 19, I was 170 lbs.
At the age of 21, I was 180 lbs.
Now, at the age of 23, I am 193 lbs, I am skinny fat, and I am building muscle while maintaining my weight, in order to build muscle and lose fat at the same time, so that in 1 year I can be 193 lbs at 10% body fat (going from a 36 inch waist to a 32 inch waist while getting muscular).

Also, most women want a man who is a bit older than themselves, so at 23, I can date 18 year olds if I want to, but when I was 18, I could only attract 16 year old girls, so I have more options now, just based on age alone, and I am also better looking, which definitely helps.

So many guys on here think that my height of 6 foot 4 should make me a slayer already but it's not that simple. Most women want a taller man yes, but to take full advantage of my height, I need to have a muscular ripped physique because that is the most important factor that women use to judge our level of masculinity, which is what they find sexy, which is why the guys who get laid the most tend to have a muscular ripped physique. In fact, you can even be 5 foot 5, and if you have a muscular ripped physique, you can have more success with women than a lanklet like me.

The only advantage that I have as a tall guy is that there are short 18 year olds who specifically want a tall guy and don't care about muscles. And there are tall women of 5 foot 10 or 6 foot tall who specifically want a guy who is 6 foot 2 or taller because they don't want to date a guy of the same height.

I would say just being tall... generally speaking you can get away with being fat / unattractive and you have weird women that have the height fetish.

sure you can work with 5'8 but you'll have to run nice eyes / nice body
