"Given an infinite amount of time it's certain that the particles that make up who you are will recombine in the exact same way at some point. So even if your consciousness ceases after your death, lights will come back on instantly from your perspective. Whether it's part of the universal cycle of expansion and contraction, Big Bang, and big bounce, or whatever, you will be back"

True but how do we know our conciseness will be continuous through time in this regard,

Assuming we have an actual conciusness that’s not some illusion

it assumes a steady state universe - which doesnt seem to be the case - or a big bounce - which also doesnt seem to be the case, from what we currently know about the expansion of the universe

so according to our current understanding of cosmology that wouldnt happen. it might happen, though, as our understanding is incomplete, but not necessarily will

Cope because there is no such thing as "infinite time" outside of thought experiments, and entropy exists.

IF YOU DIE IT'S OVER FOREVER

Theoretically entropy reverses at some point but who knows

Hard to imagine existence or everything as we know it started from nothing

Okay, assuming we're actually living in the big bounce universe where matter continuously expands (big bang) and contracts (black holes upon black holes sucking everything into a single point again), then there might be some chance, but I heavily doubt that "your" consciousness will be "reborn".

It's beyond our influence and has 0 practical implications. It cannot be proven nor disproven. That makes it boring and uninteresting.

It's loosely based on physicist Roger Penrose's theory of "Cyclic Conformal Cosmology".

Roger Penrose has a brilliant theory about the 'cyclic universe' that doesn't involve a 'big bounce' nor 'big crunch'. The guy is a genius.

he’s just describing reincarnation

where he’s wrong is assuming that we have to be back and that it’s a good thing, and this “universe” is genuine

He's not espousing a religious view, though.

According to Penrose, it doesn't actually "reverse" but "rescales". It's a complex, brilliant theory.

I have thought about it. There is no guarantee of anything in this world. No one knows what is the fate of the universe. I think entropy will lead to the heat death eventualy and all stops. But then what happens? Some unknown force pulls it all together again, like god did the dry bones from the desert in that one prophets vision, and the cycle repeats, prehaps.

If that does happen I will not have any memory of having lived that life in the past. It will be just like this one. Eternal reccurence. Why even care? Let it all go to hell and the universe do what it wants.

reincarnation has nothing to do with religion, it’s all just conciousness and interdimensional entities trying to recycle people back here into the simulation

all the “religions” (most of which are fabricated for the purpose of control and domination), do is try to present it in some good light, but some perspectives such as Gnosticism reveal hidden truths about it

trying to look at things from a hard physical and scientific perspective is foolish because conciousness by its very nature is nonphysical and metaphysical, which is something mainstream scientific communities will never stop doing

The truth is the soul system theory.
