let's say you are 6 foot and you cut down to 170lbs. idk but that may be about 12 % bf
then say you weigh 230lbs, but you gained only muscles, and still have 12 % bf.

does your face look as lean as in the first example?

It is not just about bf% it also depents on water retention, bloating, etc.

I went from 6'4" 220 to 170 , my BF is 7-8% and my face looks almost entirely different

Don't think the muscles in the face change from working out:LOL: so yea it should look the same
 
Your face always looks better the more muscle mass you keep.

Probably to do with the hormone benefits & jaw structure is a rough proxy for calories consumed during puberty- wouldn't be surprised if you saw change in early adult years. After doing a 30 pounds bulk (maybe half fat) & then cutting back down I def noticed changes in facial structure.

yes but you can have the same low bf % with 250 lbs and with 140 lbs
and the question was if these would look the same
