I agree. This is the concept of "Instagram model face", it's the certain look where the majority are in agreement that said individual is conventionally attractive, but just not in the manner that you think of when you think of "model face".
Individuals in this category usually have great harmony and appeal but lack the bone structure, features, or other qualitative features which therein excludes them from having the cadence of a true model.

I feel this way with most beauty or self-improvement influencers I see online nowadays, they are goodlooking but they have that specific uncanny softmaxxed face that just doesn't click.

It also depends on what category of modelling you do
There are looser restrictions to a certain look in modelling if you do catalogue or lookbook, but if you are striving for runway you need that specific striking look or you're not going to make it in the industry

Yeah but it’s possible you wont be eligible for modeling. Modeling agencies are very strict with their standards. I highly doubt that someone with extremely high appeal like zayn malik or justin bieber could do runway modelling for example even if they were 6ft+

If he didn't have fame halo I don't believe it is even likely that he would have a chance for modelling at ads. He has done campaigns for Calvin Klein, ELLE, etc...
None of those opportunities would have been given to a non-famous person who is his looksmatch. Most of his appeal comes from his status.

Normal models are tall + bones + at least average facial features

Super models are tall + bones + very good facial features

So no, most of them could not be models
