Morality is clearly subjective every culture and religion has its own moral framework but all could agree at certain point such as torture, murder and rape.
Society needs morality to function and we're quite coded to follow certain behaviours because it helped our ancestors survive in tribes where reputation mattered the most.
So morality is subjective and dependent on society point of view it didn't came from a divine god

So of there is a society weaker than yours with different morals and a completely different culture is yours more valid than theirs? And what do you think is the best course of action leaving them alone or "liberating" Them through war risking a small chance of losing while causing the death of some people for your cause?

is yours more valid than theirs?
its subjective, they'll think theirs is kore valid and u'll think yours is more valid

Letting them alone

Truthfully, morality is subjective. But for modern society's social framework to work an objective agreed morality has to be established, pretty basic.

Exactly. I think what he was trying to say is that morality is subjective but there is somethings that are agreed on to be bad like killing rape ect or something like that.

We all have been there (except @Niebvll ) at some point not knowing what something is and saying straight bullshit that we think sounds smart I'm still there tbh I make threads like this not because of my knowledge in philosophy logic religion or things like I'm very uneducated but I love to see people's different opinions and why they hold them I hope everyone here becomes more educated in the future especially me.

If we're gonna be totally honest here it's a synthesis between the both. There's obviously some thing that are generally objective and some things that are way more nuanced when it comes to morality. So it's both

If we're talking on a societal scale it's objective on a personal and individual scale it's subjective that better?
Yes but I'm going to need you to elaborate on that more so I can understand your point better

In every single society that has emerged since the beginning of history till this day have a incredibly similar set of values on many things, and a society can't even function properly without them like the obvious ones such as murder and stealing and whatnot. I think this is the only thing religion gets right, it keeps a society at large in its place and holds down the morals of it, this is why our world is becoming more degenerate by the day. When you look at it personally some acts can be morally right to you personally while being completely horrible to someone from an unbiased or someone taking a different side, so that's where morality becomes subjective at the individual level in certain cases. If a guy raped my girl I'm obv gonna be inclined to go and kill him and I will think thats actually moral and nothing's wrong with that some people will agree some will disagree snd it's bad for society

Not true lol
Objective morality isn't even societal, it has to proceed from something greater than us
"Societal" objectivity in morality is just common subjective opinions/morals stacked en masse
Morality only exists objectively (disagreement on morals disprove subjective morality) and cannot logically stem from humans themselves

Just morals
because all humans inherit a set of natural morals
Morality is not the same

This literally disproves subjective morality by disagreement

Subjective morality with objective framework.

For example, I believe that women and children should be defended due to their physical weakness. However that will change if a woman or child is going crazy and about to stab people in a public place.
