Yes, especially social media. Not dating apps like Tinder, more apps like Instagram. People who use them (a lot of young people) have higher expectations on looks and status (number of followers).

Real-life dating is not dead though. Social circle is still there, but social media is a big competition.

Instagram yes because everyone can find their friends and teenagers around their area and easily connect with them, if the good looking guys can easily be found they'll be in high demand compared to normies and subhumans who will struggle to look good on instagram without frauding
