Do you even need a cleanser as a dude?

I just bought a cleanser because I needed something to remove dead skin cells but apparently cleansers don't even do that. it's for foids to remove fake up and other crap. I needed an exfoliator instead.

what's a good exfoliator and what even is the difference? tbh
