Do you ever speak to your barber whilst getting a haircut?

Can't remember if I made this thread before but I remember one time my friend said "what do you talk with your barber about?" And that's when I realised it's maybe not normal that we just sit in silence when I'm having my hair done.

And my old chad friend said he even knows his barbers names and they know his and he just says "same as usual" everytime just casually I dunno if that's normal.

it might just be my barbers in particular that are like this?? I dunno tho. They do seem quite like quiet ppl but I can't remember if they're like that with just me or everyone cuz I last had a haircut 2 years ago.

Mostly just small talk, depends if I go to barber or salon, and if session is short or long. If short at a barber say 15 min, then no, but if I go to to a salon with longer time 30-45 min, then yes
