The way you acted as a child is kind of a representation of your most base mental states as you grow older

All the tantrums, wonder, excitement, etc that you used to be so eager to express on the external, lives on more or less the same on the internal plane. You never stopped being like that, you just learned to turn it inward instead of outward.

acting like a child is literally just our bare instincts maturity is a facade to keep us from a state of chaotic nature
