Do you guys generally enjoy your lives?

I’m not feeling anything. As I’m dead inside. I’m looking forward to it though.

And yeah haha, you can listen to it while it rains as you lay in your hammock. How ironic. :ogre:
You should practice for the interview to do better on it like have ai coach u

And that’s weird Inwoildnt expect u to feel that way based on how u talk

U just don’t feel any emotions at all?

Can’t imagine that I feel a lot throughout the day

Anger happiness sadness nostalgia Ambition Exctiement and Boredom are the top ones

Really? The youngest teacher I had was 21. He was an actual teacher, not a student teacher. That means he started going to university at 17. And it takes four years, so he did it really quickly. He taught science.
could probably be something to do with europe. I know the path to careers there is a lot less bullshit, i.e u can go straight into med school and engineering degrees only take 3 years instead of 4 (this is not for all countries but its common)

I live in canada however. Most, if not all of my highschool teachers had something like a physics, chemistry degree etc. and then an education degree.

I don’t think I can practice for the interview haha, I’ve never been to one before for this purpose.

I mean, if you talk to me IRL, I’ll be smiling the whole time but I don’t experience emotions like happiness.

I can get irritated, sad, nostalgic but I’ve never really experienced boredom. :Comfy:

I rarely get excited, even if I get good news (like the good grade I got, and the interview). I also get excited when someone in a TV show gets the girl he likes because I never got the girl I liked. :feelsbadman:

I think it’s a magic power at this point, not to experience boredom. I posted a thread about this a few weeks ago.

Wow

What led to that

Must be some pretty traumatic stuff

Can’t imagine what that’s kuje

To not feel anything

Also if your interested I know some good ways to practice for an interview, it’s what I did for my recent one

I told AI the position I was applying for and had it give me some practice questions they might ask me to think about

I forgot to say, I think being older (and male) is going to be helpful. That way it’s easier to get respect from the students. Women have a harder time doing this (unfortunately). In the Netherlands, you need a degree in Education if you want to teach. The only time you can become a teacher without a degree in Education is if there’s a new major and there are no qualified teachers for it. When I started computer science, it was a new major (in 2023), and one of my teachers was a programmer. So he got to teach programming even though there’s no major to become a programming teacher.

Yeah, it’s the result of going through so much stuff that you end up feeling numb. I never shared with people about the way I was feeling, not even with my friends or family. Just kept it all to myself. Didn’t even vent online anonymously. The first time I talked about it was 6 years later. Lol.

And thanks for the tip! But I think if I start practicing, I might start worrying down the line, so I prefer going in unprepared so I don’t stumble over words. I’m an overthinker. XD Best to keep my head empty.

I’m sorry that’s happened to u man

U don’t deserve that

😲

You ever do want to talk or need help with anything for what it’s worth u can ask id be more than glad to help with whwatever I can

And also with the practicing thing yeah tjat reminds me of when im preparing for a test i make sure to stop studying for a few days before

If i study like 3 days or sooner before they test than it overcomplicates things and i do worse

So i study a bunch a few weeks before and last couple days i dont study at all and keep my head clear

Always works better for me

Day of exam I dont do anything at all just go to gym and chill before the test

I remember having a highschool teacher, she was blonde, mid 20s and hot. Must've felt like shit having to teach a bunch of horny males, some of the stuff said was pretty obscene.

That is the same where I live.

Either, you do your 4 years after highschool, and get a BEd, but this is uncommon, as its less competitive and basically confines you to a teaching career.

The more common route by a very large margin is a post undergrad route, where you just do another 2 years after your degree. The degree you got before hand makes you more employable too.

From what I'm aware ( I could be entirely wrong, but in the province i live in, im like 99% sure this is the case). To teach at a highschool level, the latter is required,. You need a related degree in that field to even teach it in secondary school.

Thank you for the nice words, as well as for the offer. I’m used to not asking for any help. But I appreciate the offer nonetheless. And I can relate to that; I notice I get better results when I don’t study on the day of the exam. To keep my head as empty as possible usually does wonders for me. Not that I get great grades, but they’re passing grades at least. I usually end up studying the last two days normally so that’s not good either. XD

I do man but sadly I think it’s cause I’m htn pops boutta kick me out im not worried ill just stay with a girl yk so yeah man I enjoy life even in fucked up situations not tryna brag just answering honestly.
Well nvm these bitches fake asf guess I’m hanging out with crackhead tonight
