Recession only affects you if you were affected to the point that you needed Orthodontic work or extractions.
I.e. you had to mess with the teeth to a significant degree it affected your entire craniofacial structure

I beleive this gives illusion of shortish mandible from side , in my case .

My mom used to cover my head with a hat majority of time when I was 1-2 year old
