They can get you invited to places that you probably wouldn't have been otherwise or even if you would have having some female friends to speak to at a social event will make you seem more popular and more likely to score with other girls there anyway. Yes the girl will often unload her emotional needs onto you but you can do the same vice versa and get her honest advice on tonnes on things.
The key here is that you want a female friend that you don't have feelings for.

Growing up, I did. I've found that after I discovered PSL and had experiences feeling alienated from adult life, I couldn't relate to women anymore. It's like they're still teenagers, and I've moved on to a new stage. This society is built in a way that is just more engaging for women than men. Waking up early, driving to work, having a LinkedIn page that supposedly helps me find a better job...that shit sometimes makes me want to blow my brains out, and women can't understand that, because they enjoy it. It all feels "real" to them but not to me, and they could never understand it. I kind of miss having female friends, but it is what it is.
