Me, my friend and my fag flatmate were discussing this over a few beers the other day, they claim that you must pass a certain looks threshold for women to be nice to you on a night out, I disagreed and said that women are nice to most men as long as you present yourself in a certain way, and even if there was a threshold it would be low af and most men would easily pass it.

Evidence for my argument:-

1. Women have a motherly/nurturing instinct, it's VERY apparent when they're older - most of the older women I've ever spoken to on a night out treated me very kindly, buying me drinks, calling me cute and at one point holding my hand when crossing a road "so I don't hurt myself". I did ask the chick why she was holding my hand, she said she didn't know why, but felt like she needed to protect me???

2. Girls my age (21) have been nice to me on nights out before, these 2 girls I met on a night out even offered to walk me back home when the club was getting boring - they were going home too.

3. Girls tend to have SOME level of empathy for men, when I was 17, I had an induction day at a new school and some guy I was sitting with ditched me to go flirt with some girls. A group of girls sitting on a table saw what happened and called me over to sit with them, and were saying they saw what happened and were telling me not to feel bad. Tbh these girls weren't being dicks about it and were legit trying to be nice people.

4. Girls/women have been helpful af to me in public, when asking for directions, good places to eat, etc. They've always been fairly helpful

5. Girls have no reason to be dicks to you, seriously. It's in their best interest to be nice to you, if they were evolved to be dickheads, they'd be getting their head bashed in by grug.

They think it's my "innocent" appearance which has lead me to come to that conclusion. I have a high trust face btw. I told these guys it wasn't based on my looks, it's more about the way you present yourself. I dress in a non-intimidating manner - I don't wear trackies and wear chains with trainers for example. And getting people/girls to be nice to you is easy af and has 0 correlation with them wanting to fuck you.
