Who believes they know?
Tell me what it is and your justification

It cannot simply be because I was born into X religion so I follow Y.

Anything you’d like. The nature of it, how it relates with you, origins..
well i believe only certain people have a soul and majority do not and are npcs

the reason why most people are not free thinkers, cannot imagine or visualize the future/consequences, and constantly need society's approval

So you say that out of the 8 billion people alive there is a certain threshold wedged somewhere between them. After this point everybody has a soul, and below this point they don’t

Not a gradient, but an on-off switch

How would that work? What would make the threshold at that point?
What if somebody is just below the threshold and gains ability to reason after reading a book, does he gain consciousness?
What about the reverse?

this is debatable i think they lie about this

its not possible imo, people who wake up are destined to wake up because they have a soul. others live their lives never questioning anything, you see it all around you, work and die.

Idk I feel like this is more of a gradient/ continuous than discrete/ binary

And there are lots of questions. Is it the peak that defines consciousness?
Or is it your reasoning capability when you leave this world?
Or is it the total amount consistently over time (area), who’s maximum/peak is dwarfed by another person’s brief peak - with less area?

hmmm good questions yes

if you were to ask those questions first then you'd have to set a baseline to what that is then

i dont believe its ever a peak, i think we can continuously evolve, change, and become more knowledgeable until we leave this realm

Yeah I mean take for example somebody with brain issues who starts to lose knowledge
Or somebody who goes down the wrong path and takes in false information, taking him further away

if you were to ask those questions first then you'd have to set a baseline to what that is then
Yes perfect
You assess one thing according to a relative baseline. There is no definitive “objective” answer, which is why there is ambiguity

You’ll find the Truth when you look into different religions and understand how they relate with one another
What is the shared similarity?

What is the shared similarity?
from what i've seen many religions share a overworld and an underworld, like heaven and hell. as well as an all knowing god/gods

many also have similar events in their holy books, similar mythical creatures

souls are waiting in this virtual reality register thing and they have imprinted on them all their past experiences and talents
The only thing u can take with u from this earth is knowledge
you build all your skills and knowledge while you’re here if u don’t achieve your life mission you come back and do it over but you still have the skills from your previous lives so you can develop your soul until you reach a god state

Tragic misstep in evolution

I think consciences is just a biproduct of evolution. We became more conscience and it helped us survive. Some people are less conscience compared to others. Our species is the most conscious of all .

We only act if we are forced to or want to. Obviously, we have no free will when we are forced to do something.

The question is are we truly in control to take actions as we will to do ? I believe we are in control of our wants. We cant change what we want. I truly cannot start hatting a person I truly love. Everyone a puppet to their wants and cannot choose what to want.

A person on .org may say I hate going to the gym but I still go. In this case their will to be healthy or build muscle is greater than their will to not go to the gym. They cant control our will, all of us act in accordance to our will. that leaves us with no option but that we are determined.

Consciousness is just a biproduct of evolution that keeps us going. We have a illusion of free will. Human experience is very limited.

Reply I want to see others opinions on this. this took time to type in.

We have divine spark because otherwise we would not be loosh farmed.
However it is irrelevant because of memory wipes.
Simple way to liberation would be worship of some god who is most reasonable compared to others, and can provide liberation, like Hindu gods.

Thoughts are a chaos machine. Talks of determinism are nonsense

There’s no need to stress about why we are here but rather we should focus on how we spend our time here

consciousness is constituted by unkowing instincts and drives that disctate our thoughts and likeliness
a simple analogy for conscioussness is like the surface of a icefloor, u only get a selected viewpoint for what fits ur current dominating drives and instincts at the time, most of it is unseeable or unmeassurable imo

Balance between enjoyment and liberation work, would be better. You cover all bases. Because we're in a bad world where sub5, women, and reincarnation exist.

Tell me more. I wanna know how this works ?
Same way worlds appear from chaos, consciousness is same.

I have had plenty of original ideas, and development of ideas of others.

I had changes in habits from will and methods of strengthening will, and I've seen change in life.

Another argument. Order is byproduct of chaos, so it cannot be primary, it is secondary. Combine it with how by that logic chaos existed longest, then current iteration of chaos in form of consciousness must be most developed, true chaos. And from that, will is most chaotic it ever was, and current order is inherently from scratch weak order like all of them.

Thanks, This is a strong argument but I also find the argument for determinism to be strong. Science must evolve. Can science ever explain consciousness ? What will explain it ? I guess, I will never know the true answer. Thanks for your time.

You can grasp elements of consciousness, as much as you can.
You can make models.
You can make fake emulations of crutches.
Then add algorithm of chaos.
Now it's a good enough spirit on your hand.
Are you a programmer?

Also. You can merge with gods like monad for example, and free load on their grasp of consciousness and practical uses of consciousness.

A scientist experimenter occultist always finds a way to do science to seek the truth and power, even indirect.
I could not tell you much except uneducated contemplation, as I am at a starting stage in life yet because of chronic fatigue disease.

its all deterministic
Your universe's starting conditions and physics condition, from which you calculate determinism with enough success to run factories, all were originating from something, from what? From chaos. If that is origin, surely it has an expression forms even inside it's orderful creation. Therefore chaos is readily available anytime anywhere. Therefore consciousness is free willed

in the bigger scale chaos is everywhere but in your scale everything is observable and its all deterministic whatever you believe won't change the physics

My previous comment implied countless universes, and chaos being agentic itself (cthonic god), and potential for true chaos within consciousness (so environment is determined, including body you get, but not mind, mind is unpredictable), and potential for even magic.
I thought it was obvious but ok.
