Know your people's thoughts. Also, know your foes and potential opposition.
The people would know if the government regulated the internet with a Ministry of Truth apparatus. So intelligent folks would know whatever they say can and will be used against them. That discourages truth and wisdom. People won't be honest anymore. They'll withhold beneficial data. They'll be cautious. They won't, um, spill the beans! Get it?
If such a reality occurred, the internet would become nothing more than a government, press, and military communication portal, like originally it was in the 60/70s. So fundamentally, a communication pipeline for the said. The people would be on their own again. That means they'll be back to amassing in secret ... possibly, collaborating? Also, that could inspire private investors, possibly from overseas, to create a new cyberspace.
Know your foes. Know your opposition. But mainly, know your people.
But what if you gift-wrap the largest spying system in history and have your people believe, "You can freely speak as you please." Ah, yes, now we're talking intelligence.
Have you noticed how we accuse China of spying on us using TikTok, yet nothing comes of that? They'll threaten to ban them, yet TikTok is still there. They'll never ban China's spying device because it would come back and bite us on our ass. The CCP would launch a huge campaign informing US/UK/EU/RU/INDIA citizens that the internet is a spying apparatus.
I support the US government, the military, and this creepy intelligence machine. But I "DO NOT" support politicians and frugal corporations. And that might disorient readers because politicians masquerade that very government. But that's not true. They're the speakers and organizers. They are "supposed" to be the medium between government and businesses/citizens. But obviously, as many have witnessed since 2020, something's off. Did the politicians and corps merge without informing the citizens? Ugh. No telling. It doesn't apply to me — any of my concerns. But some of you perhaps should be concerned. These nations are your future.
Always keep those with power in check; if you don't, that can come back and bite your ass. And not in a Stacy rimjob fashion.
