Do you lend your friends money?

For me I don't really do that when I give my friends money I don't expect them to give it back maybe it's a cultural so unless I really really need the money and it is a large amount I'm not asking for it back and that hasn't happened yet because me and my friends are pretty broke so whenever we go to the store and one of them doesn't have money and I pay for them it has never been more than 2$ so I can't really speak about it since I haven't ever given a big enough amount of money for it to matter.

ill buy em a drink or snack or whatever out of convience if its easier for one person to pay but theyll get me back of equal value. If im friends with someone who cant afford a soda they better lock tf in lol im not buying them shit
