im 5'5 at 14 and i wear insoles to keep the arch on my foot but that also adds half an inch while my shoes at 1'5-2 inches. when i take my shoes off people used to be able to see the insole in my shoe so i came up with a strat of hiding the height insole under the actual shoe insole so it can NOT be spotted
