I was told you need to sacrifice a year to bloatmaxx to put on decent muscle in your first time bulking natty.

Can I not just bulk/ cut around 5kgs every time to not bloat my face too much?

you don't need to bulk until you're like a year and a half or so into training, but past the initial noobie gain stage it becomes rough to add any significant amount of size unless you're in a prolonged surplus.

I got pretty fat last two bulks and looked like shit, this one not so much for some reason.

Define prolonged. I just wanna do 5kg bulk/cuts forever. Is that retarded?

That first bulk takes forever.
I've been bulking for 118.5 days and gained 11.74 lbs in my 7-day average. And I'm still DYEL bro tier
Height: 167cm (5'5.75")
Starting Weight: 128.14 lbs (7-day average) September 25-October 1 2022
Current Weight: 139.89 lbs (7-day average) January 22-28 2023

In the last 60 days I gained 8.43 lbs (7-day avg) though.
November 23-29: 131.46 lbs (7-day average)

I gained 6.17 lbs (7-day avg) in the first 7 weeks of my bulk. But then I caught mono and lost 2.86 lbs (7-day avg) in 9 days because I was bed ridden, had loss of appetite and I missed the gym for 5 days. That really set me back.

you can probably get away with it for a while but you'll stagnate at some point, worry about that later.

Why does it have to take forever though? Did you notice your face getting fatter?
My starting point was 78kg after a year of training but I stayed the same weight the whole time.
6’0 btw

over 15%bf bulk for a year then get lean and then bulk again otherwise lean bulk, if you dont bulk before you cut and youre skinny fat youll look like a holocaust survivor

I plan to only bulk for 4 months to look good in the summer. Is a year really necessary?

You can commit to the bulk for like 1-2yrs or just do a lean bulk but will take longer to build muscle

So how many kg should I bulk?
If you want to stay looking good go on a lean bulk but that would best case scenario be 3kg after 4 months of dedication

And that 3kg won’t be pure muscle but you’ll prob be looking better with 4 months of lean bulking and consistent trainting

3kg muscle out of 5kg? That sounds good enough for me. Might do 7kg. Just want to keep it below 10.

Because it takes a long time to build muscle naturally. Some of my lifts like my bench press have plateau'd recently too despite my gains in weight.
When I looked at selfies from Sept 24 when I was 130.26 lbs 7-day avg vs. Jan 22 at 139.91 lbs 7-day avg side-by-side, I didn't notice a difference in facial fat.
I'm debating whether I should continue my bulk through the spring and give up on the plan to cut back down in the spring for the summer. Or if I should stop my bulk in the spring and start cutting. We're almost into February and I'm not happy with where my musculature is at. I basically just a beginner when I started my bulk in October and that mono stint set me back.

The easiest and fastest way to addd Muscle and make sure your bf don’t get to out of control , is to do bulking n cutting cycles
