U gotta start before 9-10 ideally 4-6. U gotta hit the 2k fide mark at around 11 in most cases i seen and then not burnout. I had a friend who was 1800 fide at 8(he was world u8 champion) and now hes 2k at 10 but slowed down alot so he prob wont reach GM.

Although I have seen people climb to 2k in just 2years of playing as a mid teen however they often get stuck after.

How bro. No way you can just reach 2500 and be new to chess. The fastest I've seen is a guy who got to 2000 elo in 4 months, so that's kinda hard to believe
