I often do it. It acts like a deterrence. For example if I skip my run or workout one day I make up for it the next day by doing both that day's and the missed day's miles plus an extra 5 miles as a punishment fot being lazy and missing my goals. If I eat junk food when I shouldn't, I skip eating for the entire day. If I drink alcohol when I promis3d myself not to, I toss the bottle of whiskey in the bin and no alcohol for a month. It makes me more accountable and makes me take my things more seriously

Life doesn't really worth it to punish yourself on small things

I punish myself by engaging with low IQ brainraped retards whose mothers sucked donkey dicks. Infact I am doing that right now in my post

Looking the way I do is punishment enough, if I rlly want to punish myself I try smiling at strangers or making small talk

It helps inculcate discipline and order imo. I tell myself you dont deserve to eat today. You should have taught about it before stuffing your face with donuts and I reflect on that decision. It is very effective imo

it's effective but only in certain ways(basically if you don't punish yourself too much(
