i really have a problem with reading like books from nietzsche where he is just stating things and commenting stuff, i need to read the same page like 3 times and to stop and think about it to fully get it into my mind, on the other hand some books like stories etc that is not just the author commenting on stuff i get through those easily (while still getting the point and understading it), is it like that for everyone or?

i did read other philosophers, it was just that i wanted to get into nietzsche because this book was against nihilism and how to beat it so i was curious about the topic

Most people who mention Nietzsche don't read Nietzsche, in fact

Every book, even the hardest, has paragraphs you have to read quicker or slower. So you always adjust the reading speed

i read at least one book from all classic mainstream philosophers - schopenhauer, dostojevski, camus, kafka, dazai, orwell, spinoza etc... just getting into nietzsche, i am planning on reading a lot more but im kinda stuck on nietzsche rn it takes me a lot of time to even go through 10 pages or so

well yes but 300 pages of nietzsche takes me 10x longer to read than a kafka book

You should read one chapter at a time to get into these type of books. Makes you stop and think about what you are reading

It is hard for everyone except for those majoring in Philosophy or Literature. But you should read Nietzsce regardless of the difficulty. It gives an insight into Western society at that time.

I think when we pick up a new author we need to actually get used to the writing style. Happened to me when I started Crime and Punishment. But if you persevere enough you can get used to it
