Yes i get that. That the relations last that long and how many. Its just i have the (high these days) standard of wanting to date a virgin that looks attractive. (Mean high mtb + with a decent body). Thats rare and i have no idea how to meet those people

I think you are setting yourself up for failure.

If her being a virgin aligns with your values fair enough.

The whole nice body, nice face thing is very shallow and if you want a long lasting relationship you need to actually look deeper.

Of course you need physical attraction JFL. Just don't be crazy about it.

I think the media lies to us about the importance of romance. In every TV show and movie there will be a love interest and we are exposed to these ideas from a young age. And we are fed an unrealistic expectation of what romance is like.

As an adult you're not gonna find someone for "true love, I'll love you forever my baby oooo." The benefits of marriage and why people get married are:

1) Social status - people like to say they are taken. Especially women.

2) Money - not gold diggers as such but two incomes in todays economy is almost essential for a lot of different things.

3) Emotional support - Women often need emotional support. When they can't seek support from their friends and family they will have their husband as a support system.

Now those are the great benefits of marriage.

But people are never happily married in this day an age and I don't think they have ever been in history. All the old people that say "we've been married for 68 years" like yeah cause you had no choice and it was a societal standard,

Kids out of wedlock was looked down upon and there was less access to safe abortions. If you fell pregnant that was it, you were married. Women had less freedom and they had to fully submit to their husband, despite lots of them being alcoholics and abusive.

Maybe true love doesn't exist like in the fairy tales?
