The only good thing about democracy is that governments can leave peacefully, through elections.

Other, here is my explanation:

My political views are two-folded, I divide them into "praxis" and "ideally", ideally I don't support democracy (at least not in the way it is imposed nowadays), but on praxis I still see it as a better system than autocracy, monarchy or oligarchy, since I can still further my political goals through a democracy.

Nah, in ancient times there was more violence, and many civilizations had slavery. I think that not everything was bad in the past, but the modern Western countries are better.

There was no way for ancient dictatorships to uphold whatever brutal laws, slavery, etc. they had in mind. Today it is very easy.

Wageslavery is a very real issue in the west btw
