Because these already are NATO countries like finland and norway, the baltics are a different story and although it would be beneficial to expand there and to finally have more sea access via the baltics, the balts are not at all similar to russians like ukrainians are and if they were to expand there, it would be a far worse war, but even then russia already has kalingrad there and some deterent against nato established there, they are fighting to stop ukraine from joining nato and becoming another country that has NATO set up in it and entreched even more near their nation

My greatest issue with Ukraine is thier Jewish president or primeminister who has ties to Mossad. I do pity Georgia and the Baltic and Finland but not Chechnya, they are rabid radicals. The other issue with Ukraine is that it is not really a proper country or state. It is more like Bosnia, it existed sometimes but does not have more of a reason to exist beyond being a buffer state.
