i think it’s very complex because what we’re attracted to will come subconsciously for the most part

we may find someone cool because of how they act but it always comes that we subconciously find their face appealing aswell , i think that if we didn’t get signaled that the person is attractive then their personality wouldn’t be cool either

i think we can see that by how in highschool, if a kid is ugly and dresses bummy and is quiet he’ll be seen as weird, but if he’s facially good looking he’ll be seen as just mysterious

thoughts? what is your view on it? do you think one’s personality will boost their attractiveness regardless of face? or what

personality doesn’t matter. that’s the lie people cling to because it sounds fair and comforting.

attraction is decided before a real conversation even starts. people see you, register you, and make a judgment in seconds. everything that comes after is just explanation. personality doesn’t create attraction, it just gets used to justify it after the fact.

if personality actually mattered, first impressions wouldn’t be so decisive. rejection wouldn’t be instant. people wouldn’t suddenly overlook “red flags” the moment someone attractive shows interest. but they do, every time.

confidence doesn’t create attraction either. attraction creates confidence. humor only works when someone already wants to like you. kindness is called sweet in one person and creepy in another. mysterious in one, awkward in another. the behavior stays the same, only the face changes.

what people call chemistry is just desire lining up with permission. the brain decides yes or no almost immediately. personality just decorates that decision so it feels deeper and more meaningful.

that’s the part no one wants to admit. the world doesn’t run on effort, fairness, or intentions. it runs on perception. personality doesn’t lead the story, it follows it, explaining outcomes that were already decided the moment someone was seen.

Personality in regards to attraction does not equal character which foids get confused about. Being a good person with good morals and principles means nothing for attraction. But being confident, low inhib, dominant and interesting do help.

But it doesn’t matter if you’re ugly of course and most “personality” is inferred from your looks and the development of such traits is highly related to looks anyways, since its easy for a chad to be confident and dominant as his superiority is reinforced his entire life, whilst being treated like a subhuman leads to the development of high inhib behaviour, trauma responses and poor self esteem

yes it’s literally the most important thing fuckinh idiot

Your perception of the other person personality gets built by many factors, looks play a great role in it, even that person perception of himself is affected massively by his looks but at the end of the day having what’s called a “good personality” which is basically how you present yourself to others matter obviously

I think being good looking is what could start the convo; think of it as like being good looking is what gets your foot into the door, but to keep it there you need a good personality. Like even if I’m Chad I think with a terrible personality I could still get into a relationship, but it’d be hard to keep it. There was an experiment where they had a model tier htn on tinder even though he was a sex offender, he still got a lot of matches. I think he’d be able to get the date, but not be able to hold a relationship due to his personality if that makes sense.

It absolutely matters, but of course the average org user who has social anxiety, no job, cant even maintain a simple conversation with another human being, because he get’s overatimulated by other peoples presence, cant even hold eye contact because he is so much intimidated by women… will tell you its all about the jawline, because that‘s easier than to admit you absolutely fucked up in life and it‘s your fault
