I think it's a solid compromise, an outright ban is way too strict and would interfere with free speech imo but ID lets you prove you're of age since it is most easy to get addicted in your younger teenage years.

every social media platform got sexualized by many content creators
things like „gooning” „gyat” or smth like that in small % also destroys kids brains (it sounds funny but unfortunately its true)
