I remember reading somewhere that, the genes that control brown hair, skin tone light/dark eyes pigmentation (eumelanin) do not "turn on" until a certain age.

this is why alot of kids who have blonde hair grow up and enter adulthood with brown or black hair and much darker skin. Hexum in his childhood pics has light blonde hair but it turned into a dark dirty blonde/brown by his 20s. This happens with ethnics too but it's more noticeable in whites because they already have light pigmentation

I had a tad lighter brown hair compared to now, but not that much of a difference compared to Hexum.

Nah I'm mulatto and came out light asf looked similar as a baby but later in life it became obvious
