You are in your 50s, have a net worth that is in deep 7 figure territory.Graduated out of Stern with 20+ years of experience You travel around the world, eat at 5 star hotels. Live in large bunglow in bay area, wear luxury watches, come to work in AMG but you have to works almost 80 hours a week, sometimes even shower in the office during important meeting. You barely talk to family All your friends, people you know are from the office, your life revolves around the office. . Is this a good life? Because this is pretty much how my boss lives.

depends, if you never had a great social life you might feel like you beneft but your loved ones might never feel a connection and live out their own lives doing bad things to try to get your attention, while for those who care about social lives and genuine connection, this life would be horrible

No. You’ll destroy your looks and health even with a few years of 80hr work weeks

It sounded good until you mentioned the barely talking to family and life being spent in the office part.

It's ok at 50 but if anything it'll do more for any children he has which it sounds like he has none or atleast divorced.

It really depends what he did with his youth with I assume was not too much

80 hours is a bit much tbh especially at 50 not to mention the no social aspect. Also I assume the Stern here is the NYU business school right?

Better than starvation / homelessness / brutal subsistence working poor lifestyle, but not much more than that tbh

I value my personal freedom and autonomy too much

Average 40 hour / week for average salary mogs just based on that alone (although still far from ideal ofc - financial independence as early in life as possible + looks + health + youth are the key benchmarks of being able to live life to the fullest)

I mean if you have true complete access and control of that inheritance I’d say full fucking send. There’s no point in torturing yourself with wageslavery if you don’t have to

Will you get bored eventually of the easy NEET life full of shallow hedonism? Yeah, probably, but that’s just the human condition. It’s by far and away the least bad option

Up to you, I have no idea what your life goals or predilections are but it’s what I’d do 100% (throw in getting a metric shit ton of hardmaxxes too jfl)

Neeting is fun for like a week tops, then it turns into pure brain rot. You start eating garbage, skip the gym, and just sit in your room wasting away. I hit a point where I was disgusted with myself and what my life had become, so I decided I was done with that NEET crap for good. Started working at 19, I’m 21 now and still grinding . yeah, it’s stressful sometimes, but rotting takes a mental toll on me

I'm surprised you niggas think 80 hours is too much. 80 hours work weeks in many finance and management jobs are common. Those wolf of wall street looking boys in suits and patagonia vests you see around arr working 70-80 hours a week. This is common @Saint Casanova @Chadeep @imontheloose
