I believe he improved a lot
ofc you'll say that he now looks gay and uncanny but thats mostly because he didnt dye his head hair, which throw his coloring off and makes his dark facial hair looks fake

in this picture where you cant see his head hair, he doesnt really looks uncanny:

highly unlikely
minox wouldnt darken his beard, it could make his eyebrows thicker, but from what I see minox doesnt have a huge result on eyebrows, it does work but it doesnt really provides a bigger change than dying with refectocil
