Long hair is superior always, BUT it needs to be well-kempt, maintained and not too nasty and greasy. It also requires decent to good hair genetics, far from all guys can grow quality long hair. Most women from what I have seen prefer long hair BUT on the conditions I mentioned and having fullness, quality and high maintenance etc. Many guys don't even fucking detangle their hair so it looks like shit, of course foids dislike that.

I have very long hair and reactions from foids have only been EXTREMELY positive. Of course I maintain mine very well and got very good hair genetics for having good long hair.
